Hamburg-based artist duo Christoph and Florin Schmidt aka Christoph Florin (FKA Low Bros) draw on their personal connection to 80s and 90s pop culture and advertising aesthetics in their latest exhibition. “Window Views” sees the pair contemplating our interactions with the world beyond the screens that surround us and into our shared existence in the world. Working on a series of overlapping browser windows, which they have expanded to provide a valuable perspective on our collective journey in the information age, the collection presents a critical reevaluation of past eras while simultaneously tackling current social issues. For example, the evolving nature of human connection in an increasingly-digital world, how technology shapes our perceptions and interactions, the intersection of art and technology, and the boundaries between virtual reality and tangible human experience.
