Wildcat (Mavericks Tackle Love, #1). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Books Best Blog

Wildcat by Max Monroe

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wildcat: a football formation in which the ball is snapped, not to the quarterback, but to another player lined up in the quarterback position.

Wild, Cat: a beautiful woman from the sky, who hooked me against the rails, and has me on the ropes. Sweet like honey, with a hint of sass burning behind her pretty brown eyes, she took over my heart without warning. I’m Quinn Bailey, quarterback for the New York Mavericks. Sports analysts predicted I’d break records and take my team all the way. But no one predicted this. And just like the other team, I never saw it coming.

On a midnight train going anywhere to Birmingham.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😊😄😘😍🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Quinn Bailey – He is a 6’6” quarterback for the New York Mavericks. His arrogance is about as big as his rising star, but he is a hard worker on the field, and a genuinely nice guy who loves his family and friends. He was traveling home to Alabama on a commercial flight on a small airline before the season began to spend three days with his family.

The heroine: Catherine Wild (a.k.a. Cat) – she is a stewardess with Royal Air, her and her best friend Casey do their best to make the flights a fun experience for their guests. They make a comedy routine out of giving the safety instructions and things like that. She was ogling the guy in first class seat 2A for most of the flight and even fantasized a bit about what he would look like naked.

The Story: Quinn meets Cat on his flight home. He noticed how pretty she was but was sure he would never see her again since the season was about to start up and he would be busy for the duration. Though a tropical storm in the area caused the plane to land in Atlanta Georgia instead of Birmingham Alabama. Cat was scheduled the next morning on a flight to leave from Birmingham to JFK and was stuck in Atlanta. Cat and Quinn both end up on a midnight train to Birmingham.

I loved how Cat doesn’t believe such a wealthy, famous and hot guy would want a normal girl like herself, but how Quinn was so into her. She was so weirded out when she found out he had 3.1 million followers on Instagram while she had 14 followers. It was sweet how much Quinn thought about Cat and wanted to be in her presence. I also loved how both of them loved that four-hour train ride from Atlanta to Birmingham. Cat loved it so much she wanted to live it all over again exactly the way it went. I remember times when I was so infatuated with a guy and just loved being around them like that.

I also loved how Quinn was with his fans. You could tell he was a really nice guy. He even posted his location at times when he was out at a bar or something like that and didn’t care that fans knew where he was and came to see him.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Jeremy York and Ava Erickson. Both of these narrators are very good, and Ava is one of my favorite female narrators she has a terrific voice. Jeremy is great at using different voices for different characters and you can’t tell either of these narrators are reading, so that is always a big plus.
