Preview Ariana Grande in ‘Wicked’ Film Adaptation

This week, rehearsal footage for the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked has made its way to the internet. It provides a preview of Ariana Grande’s performance as Glinda.

Grande’s costume is a pink gown with a matching scepter and tiara.

The footage shows Grande performing the opening number-“No One Mourns the Wicked.”

Universal’s two-part film project is an adaptation of the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.   

The cast includes Cynthia Erivo as the Wicked Witch, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Bog, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Keala Settle as Miss Coddle, Aaron Teoh as Avaric and Colin Michael Carmichael as Professor Nikidi.

Wicked: Part One is set to release in theaters Nov. 27, 2024. Part two will premiere on Christmas Day in 2025.
