What’s in Apple Update iOS 15.0.2

If you use Apple products then you are probably aware of the iOS 15.0.2 update on the company’s devices. While it is easy to skip the description of what’s inside the update, it is important to read the information in order to figure out how it can improve your devices functionality and the user experience.

The update, called “iOS 15” for short, brings audio and video enhancements to Face Time. The app is one of the most popular ways that users share communication through live video. The update will bring spatial audio and enhanced Portrait mode.

The Shared with You Feature will make recommendations on articles, photos and other content in a more accurate way that is based on user behavior.

The Focus feature will reduce distractions by filtering out notifications based on what the user is currently deploying. This will cutdown on the issue of notifications making recommendations that the user will not intend to launch.  Notifications and Notifications Summaries have both been redesigned to have a more modern feel and should be easier to use than previous iterations.

Maps is also getting redesigned and will feature 3D images that  can aide the user in locating places through GPS and give them a better and unique user experience..

Live Text has the ability to recognize text in images across the entire web. This can lead to the user collecting meta data on the photos they view through internet browsers in order to get a complete picture of what the designer of the image intended to represent. While this is one of those features that many people will likely not use very often, content creators may find it very useful.

This feature is likely to be used by a lot of people, the enhanced security controls for Siri and Mail applications. Apple typically sets the standard for computers and IOT devices in regards to security. iOS 15 will offer the traditional control settings with some new additions.
