Cape Playhouse Artistic Director Eric Rosen directs the Sara Bareilles musical.
The Cape Playhouse production of the Tony-nominated musical Waitress plays the Massachusetts venue through August 24. Artistic Director Eric Rosen directs the hit
musical, which features a score by Tony nominee Sara Bareilles and a
book by Jessie Nelson based on the film of the same name.
The company is headed by Stephanie Torns (Waitress) as Jenna, Caitlin Houlahan (Waitress, Girl from the North Country) as Dawn, Soara-Joye Ross (Crashing, Hadestown) as Becky, and John Riddle (Frozen, Titanique)
as Dr. Pomatter with Robert Ariza as Earl, Nick Cearley as Ogie, Erik
Lochtefeld as Cal, and John Shuman as Joe plus ensemble numbers Drew Becker, Jack Rasmussen, Olivia London, Cassie Donegan, Autumn Eliza Sheffy, and Renee Shohet.

The production also has musical direction by Ryan

Adapted from the 2007 film and featuring a book by Nelson and a Tony-nominated score by Bareilles, Waitress
was developed and premiered by Massachusetts’ American Repertory
Theater before debuting on Broadway in 2015, picking up four 2016 Tony
nominations, including Best Musical. The work made a Broadway return at
the Ethel Barrymore following the COVID-19 shutdown beginning September
2, 2021, sticking around through December 20.
