She then raised her hands and clapped enthusiastically, thrilled to have set a new Canadian record and secured a medal.
After the event, the Canadian star shared that it was a “really surreal moment, and it was awesome.”

She added, per Sport Bible: “I just feel like I’m very emotionally stable right now and just feel so honored to be the first [women’s] pole vaulter to bring home an Olympic medal for Canada.”
