The Origins of Art Boulle
Art Boulle was founded by Nancy Saavedra and her husband, Diego Saavedra. Nancy is the Creative Director who has worked with some of the most prestigious interior designers and Architects in different parts of the world. Although she holds a Master’s in International Business, Nancy’s love for design leads her to a path she didn’t imagine — one that would become her passion. She had always dreamt of showcasing her hometown i.e., Cuenca, Ecuador’s marvelous craftsmanship to the rest of the world. This led to the birth of Art Boulle in 2006. In Nancy’s words, “My vision was to showcase the amazing craftsmanship of these artists and the immense possibilities of metal and woodwork. Mireya Dalmau and I (my mentor and founder of CESA Design) partnered to bring these products to the Canadian market.”
