Travis Kelce Acts In Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie Trailer

Behold, we have our first look at Travis Kelce’s acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming miniseries Grotesquerie.

The FX series stars Niecy Nash-Betts as “Detective Lois Tryon,” as “a series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community.” As she investigates alongside a nun journalist, the detective begins to feel as if the crimes are “eerily personal.”

It’s not clear what role Travis will play, as the official series cast bio reads, “The series stars Niecy Nash-Betts as ‘Detective Lois Tryon,’ Courtney B. Vance as ‘Marshall Tryon,’ Lesley Manville as ‘Nurse Redd,’ Micaela Diamond as ‘Sister Megan,’ Nicholas Alexander Chavez as ‘Father Charlie,’ Raven Goodwin as ‘Merritt Tryon’ and Travis Kelce.”

The first official trailer for the show clearly knows the pull Travis may have for viewers, as it opens with the football player saying, “Check out the trailer for FX’s Grotesquerie. That’s right, you may see some familiar faces.”

We even get to see Travis speak in character, as he macabrely says, “There is no future after this.”

As well as another clip of him looking fairly zonked out:

Earlier this year, Travis said what it was like working on the show on his New Heights podcast, explaining, “I was kinda blown away and kinda, like, shocked that [Ryan] was willing to give me a role like this, because it is a big role on the show.”

“He seemed very confident that I’d be able to do this and he kinda injected that in me the first conversation that we had. So hopefully I don’t bomb this for him,” he continued. “I’m just taking it scene by scene and trying to make sure that I remember my lines. I’m very amateur at this.”
