I really really really hope there will be more books in this series. Because I can’t imagine anything nicer than settling in with these characters and this world again.

I received this book through a giveaway hosted by Travis Baldree (of Legends and Lattes fame) and I’m so glad he did, otherwise I likely would never have heard of this sweet little book.

This is definitely under the umbrella of cozy fantasy. Low stakes in a world where people act in a kind way toward one another was just what I needed. I am especially happy with the portrayal of a trans character, and that they are not just an object of pity or trauma but that they find people who love and support them. I can’t recommend this book enough, and don’t want to say too much more because I don’t want to spoil things. But I hope by my praise that I have convinced you to pick this book up to see for yourself.
