Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has a history of abuse with women.
TMZ reports that the shock-rocker abused his former fiancee’ actress Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler, The Ides of March) for years and four other women came forward also accusing him of abuse. As a result, his record label Loma Vista Recordings drops him.
Wood and Manson began dating in 2007, when she was 19 and he was 38. They got engaged in 2010, and broke up that same year.
In a statement, Wood is quoted as saying, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson.”
Manson has yet to respond to the allegations and his former record label issued this statement:
“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and four other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately.”
The label also acknowledged that it won’t be working with Manson in the future.
