The Remaining Food & Drink Vendors at the Belt & Road Food Fest

The Belt & Road Food Fest is less than a week away! All kicking off from Sep 15-17 at Langyuan Station, we’ve already taken a look at the entertainment and the first half of our food vendors so now it’s time to look at the remaining food and drink vendors! 

Later on in the week, we’ll be taking a gander at the market vendors we’ve got in store, plus we’ll have a post answering all your FAQs. 

WARISAN ROEMAH INDONESIA 瓦里山印舍

Wairsan means “heritage” in Indonesian and this is a central theme of WARISAN ROEMAH INDONESIA. Established in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy and Bank Indonesia, Warisan is China’s first Indonesian cultural experience center. At the fest, they’ll be serving Bakso, an extremely popular meatball soup that is beloved across Indonesia. It features high-quality meatballs and a broth that is carefully prepared by simmering bones and meat over a long period of time. This process enhances the dish with rich flavors and depth, making it delicious even without the addition of complex seasonings.


MORROW Grill & Cantina Taste of Mexico MORROW墨佬墨西哥餐厅

Mexican restaurant MORROW will be serving their Pope Chicken Tacos, which see a corn tortilla base layered with smoked chicken, various sauces and fresh vegetables. They’ll also have Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas that come with a side of their handmade salsa that’s perfect for dipping.


CODED 编码非洲风情音乐餐吧

CODED will be bringing the West African classic Jollof Rice to fest, this one-pot dish combines rice, tomatoes, onions and peppers with herbs and spices like garlic, ginger, thyme and curry powder for one dish that is bursting with flavor. They’ll also have Peanut Chicken and Cassava, a Cameroonian dish from the Adamaoua region where peanuts are a local specialty. 


Latina Parrilla 拉蒂娜南美牛排馆

Latina has been providing the Brazilian Rodizio-style barbecue experience in China for over 20 years. At the Belt & Road Food Fest, they’ll be cooking up Uruguayan Beef Steak and Uruguyuan Beef Skewers. For the steak, they’ll be using picanha, a triangular cut of beef taken from the top of the rump with a layer of fat on the outside which seeps into the rest of the meat to make it juicy and tender. All of their Uruguayan beef comes from natural pastures in Uruguay, where studies have shown that this beef has low-fat content and a higher proportion of high-quality fats. 


Partners Brew & FunYoung 伙伴部落+放羊

Joining forces for the fest are Partners Brew and FunYoung, who will be showcasing an array of food and drink from Central Asia and Eastern Europe. They’ll have classic dishes like Borscht, a beetroot and beef soup; Black Bread, made from rye, wheat and nuts; and Russian Style Sausage. In the drinks department Partners Brew has specially brewed Kvass, a type of alcohol-free drink made from bread, as well as Ukraine Honey Ale and Russian Czar Stout beers.


Turkish Feast 西庭秀色

Turkish Feast will be serving up a number of classic Turkish dishes at the fest. First up they’ll have a variety of Pide, a type of Turkish flatbread stuffed with various fillings such as cheese, meat or vegetables. Second up is Turkish Kebabs – choose from beef, lamb or chicken – which have been marinated in a blend of over ten Turkish spices and then slowly cooked on a rotating grill until tender and juicy. Lastly, for those with a sweet tooth they’ll have Turkish Baklava, ultra thin sheets of pastry are wrapped around a filling of walnuts, almonds, pistachios, and other nuts, they’re then cut into squares and then baked until beautifully crispy.


Wawabeer Taproom 哇哇兔精酿餐吧

Wawabeer Taproom will be offering Saudi Arabian style Chicken Shawarma at the fest. The chicken is baked in a secret marinade and paired with cheese, onion and sauce all wrapped up in flatbread. They’ll also have Vanilla Chicken Balls and French Fries with a variety of sauces including a secret meat sauce and a black truffle sauce. 


Taiba Shawarma Middle East restaurant Taiba Shawarma土耳其烤肉

Another spot serving up shawarma (as you might have guessed from the name) is Taiba Shawarma, who specialize in Turkish and Iraqi cuisine. They’ll have their signature Chicken Shawarma, which sees chicken, tomatoes, cucumber and other vegetables stuffed in toasted bread. They’ll also have an Iraqi Beef Burger that pairs an Iraqi spiced beef patty with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and mayonnaise all inside a soft burger bun. 


DONGLAISHUN 东来顺

Century-old halal hotpot restaurant DONGLAISHUN is renowned for its authentic Beijing cuisine. At their booth, you’ll be able to enjoy dishes like “Shuibao” Hotpot, which includes lamb, beef, special noodles, baby cabbage, lettuce, wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, frozen tofu, and more. Another specialty is “Baodu Fen”, made with beef tripe and vermicelli noodles. It’s also worth mentioning that DONGLAISHUN uses high quality lamb from Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia, which is slaughtered according to halal methods and then aged for 48 hours. 


Luminauté 什旿

Bringing some sweet treats to the fest is Luminauté, who create dishes that combine Cantonese and Xinjiang cuisine. They use the most authentic Xinjiang ingredients, combined with the expertise of top Cantonese chefs, to create a fusion of delicacies. At the fest, they will present the iconic Cantonese dessert Chilled Mango Sago Cream with Pomelo and also a range of Turkish Ice Cream from the brand MADO, which only uses pure goat’s milk for their ice cream. 


CHEERS Wines 齐饮进口葡萄酒

CHEERS Wines will be bringing plenty of their great quality wines and carefully crafted cocktails to the fest. On the wine front, there will have two South African wines: de Liefde Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and Tussock Jumper Chenin Blanc as well as the Fabulous Ant Pink Chardonnay from Hungary. In the cocktail department, they’ll have a refreshing Gin and Tonic, a fruity Paloma and a tongue-tingling Spicy Sparkling Margarita. They’ve also created two exclusive cocktails for the fest: Pomegranate Journey and Jasmine Harmony


TUKTUK Thai Herbal Beverage TUKTUK泰式植物鲜萃饮

Specializing in lemongrass-based drinks, TUKTUK will have a range of refreshing Thai beverages that are ideal for cooling down. They’ll have Sparkling Water with Lemon Gress and Lemon, Thai lced Lemon Tea with Basil, Fresh Boiled Lemon Grass Juice, Lemon Grass and Lemon Americano and Handmade Lemon Grass and Lemon. For their drinks, they use an innovative technique, utilizing Thai plants like lemongrass, pandan leaf, etc. to brew a soup-like base, which is then used in the drinks.

For those looking for a caffeine boost then f space has you covered. They’ll be serving up BORGO 1950 Napoli Roast Coffee, which is made from a blend of Arabica coffee and Robusca coffee and has flavor notes of chocolate, caramel and nuts. If tea is more your thing they have Fragrant Arrow Tea, a blend of Oolong green tea with Yunnan and Fujian black tea. 


The Belt & Road Food Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station Riverside Cultural Plaza from Sep 15-17 from 11am to 8.30pm each day. Early bird tickets are RMB 19.9 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above.
