The Garfield Movie: Critical Flop Is The Top Movie On Netflix


“The Garfield Movie” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The animated comedy stars Chris Pratt as the voice of the iconic comic strip cat alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang and Snoop Dogg. Despite its star-studded cast, the film received mostly negative reviews.

After a theatrical run that began in May, “The Garfield Movie” joined Netflix on Sept. 21. The plot revolves around Garfield’s reunion with his estranged biological father as they embark on an unexpected adventure.

The second most popular movie on Max at the moment is “I Saw the TV Glow.”

Written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun, the psychological horror film follows isolated teenagers whose connection to a young adult television show begins to warp their understanding of their lives and identities. “I Saw the TV Glow” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January followed by a theatrical release in May.

“Dandelion” is now available to stream on AMC+. The drama was released in theaters in July after debuting at South by Southwest in March to mostly positive reviews.

Starring KiKi Layne, “Dandelion” centers around a struggling singer-songwriter who accepts a gig in South Dakota, where she meets a guitarist (played by Thomas Doherty) and falls into a whirlwind romance.

The top movie on Hulu right now is “Asphalt City,” a 2023 dramatic thriller based on a 2008 novel by Shannon Burke called “Black Flies.”

Sean Penn and Tye Sheridan star as New York City paramedics in this story about the psychological trauma first responders face. The cast also includes Michael Pitt, Katherine Waterston, Mike Tyson, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Raquel Nave and Kali Reis.
