The Croods 2: A New Age Logo
America’s favorite pre-historic cave family returns in the long-awaited sequel The Croods 2: A New Age. (Universal/Dreamworks Pictures) If you’re a fan of the first film, The Croods you will definitely enjoy the sequel which will be released in theaters and on Amazon this Thanksgiving! Dreamworks just released the trailer this week.
The original cast Nicolas Cage (Grug), Emma Stone (Eep), and Ryan Reynolds reprise their roles voicing their characters in the animated film. It also stars new actors Peter Dinklage, Leslie Mann, and Kelly Marie Tran. This time it’s The Croods vs. The Bettermans, who turns their world upside down while on the hunt for a better place to call home. They find paradise, but run into a stumbling block when they discover that The Betterman family already live there!
I asked Nicolas Cage what it was like to play Grug the second time around.
“It was quite easy cause I have done it before. The first time took me a while with the voicing but so am this kind of person who adapts to positive things really fast,” Cage said. “The audience is definitely going to love it.”
As for the future of further “The Croods” sequels, Nick is keeping that quiet and prefers to ‘keep fans in suspense!’
