Kailyn Lowry got in on the candy salad trend on TikTok and added her own spin to it – sharing her past traumas.
The video quickly went viral as it shocked her fans and followers and gave them more insight into her life before becoming a reality star and mom to seven.

Kailyn Lowry Trauma Dumped With Candy Salad Trend On TikTok
The “Teen Mom 2” alum jumped on the candy salad trend train while sharing some of her life backstory with her TikTok followers and it quickly went viral with more than 6.5 million views and 9,000 comments.
“My name is Kail and when I was 6 months old, I was kidnapped, brought to Texas, and my mom found me in the hospital with pneumonia, and I brought the Swedish Fish,” she said as she dumped the bag of candy into the bowl.
“Kail again. When I was 9 years old, I woke up with a strange man in my bed. I have no idea how he got there, who he is, or where he went afterward. And I brought the Sour Dudes from Dollar Store.”

And The Shocking Walk Down Memory Lane Didn’t Stop There…
Lowry continued by talking about when she was 10 years old.
“When I was 10 years old I walked to my uncle’s house to ask if he had any food because I hadn’t seen my mom in days,” she said as she dumped more candy into the bowl. “When I was 11 years old, my babysitter did coke in front of my face on the coffee table.”
She then shared that when she was in the fourth grade, she lied to her guidance counselor for her mom who “showed up under the influence to pick me up from school.”
“When I was 14 years old, I lost my virginity on a sidewalk without even knowing what sex was,” she continued. “When I was 16 years old, my mom signed over custody to my boyfriend’s parents and told me that absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

But Wait…There’s More!
Lowry continued with more shocking stories from her teenage years.
“When I was 17 years old, I met my dad for the first time and he had a lock on his fridge and told me he eats roadkill barbecue,” she said.
“When I was 19 years old, I was sexually assaulted by someone I knew and I never reported it to police but I did need to have repair done in the hospital by a plastic surgeon, and I never reported it because I felt bad and I didn’t know if he really actually meant to do it.”
Lowry’s video ended just after she dumped one more bag of candy into the bowl. Viewers were shocked and saddened by all they just heard, and left supportive and uplifting comments for the reality star.

More than 9,000 comments flooded the comment section with shock, sadness, and support.
“You forgot, ‘Hi, my name is Kail and I broke the cycle for my children,'” one person wrote. Another added, “I hope everyone that misunderstands you sees this.”
And there were plenty more comments where those came from.
“Your story is the true meaning of breaking the cycle – you’re an amazing mom,” one fan shared. Another said, “I’m so sorry this happened to you, but girllll u changed your life around and are doing 1000 times better than ur mom ever did.”

Lowry’s trauma dump seemed to help her followers understand more about where she’s come from and many of them shared their sympathy and praised her for how far she’s come.
“This explains a lot. She building her own family. And showing them what love and mothering is supposed to look like. Healing her inner child,” one person wrote. Another added, “You are living proof that your past should never define your future. You are a great mother and a beautiful person.”
And a few people told Lowry that she “won this trend.”
