TANZAHOi International Dance and Dance Film Festival in Germany offers outstanding international dance productions from Hamburg. Everything is happening via live stream for the 2021 digital festival – Take Part in Another World.
Among the theatre restrictions and reduced-contacts time in the performing arts, many artists and institutions use streaming technology. After a successful live-streamed dance film festival in 2020, TANZAHOi organizes a cultivating digital platform for this year’s upcoming festival. And if you are ready to submit choreography you can apply at streaming live performances from around the world in real-time. It is stimulating for many new productions as it is for TANZAHOi.
TANZAHOi International Dance and Dance Film Festival offer an online competition for for-the-screen-adapted productions in order to expand the aesthetics of the audience’s limited view by, directing attention to the camera work. The work should be choreographed, it should be bringing a dynamic to the sequence that can only exist in the filmed-form, and should develop a unique audience experience compared to the live performance. You have to use several cameras and film-angles. TANZAHOi is making a contribution to the further development of ‘Livestream aesthetics’, multimedia, and hybrid productions as a sustainable future opportunity for the arts.
TANZAHOi offers only 4000 € to the selected productions to achieve the Livestream of their work. This grant only supports the implementation of the visual concept for the Livestream to Hamburg in the period from 3-5 September 2021.
