Netflix sensation HoYeon Jung has broken her silence regarding her recent weight loss, this as fans express worry over new photos. The 27-year-old “Squid Game” actress and former catwalk queen made headlines shortly before the New Year for opening up and admitting that she’s lost way too much weight. The promo trail for the dystopian series came with such tight schedules, Jung was barely able to eat, something she revealed as concerned comments on her Instagram mounted up.

Speaking to Star News as her Instagram showed visible chest bones and a shrinking frame, the Louis Vuitton global ambassador stated:

“There was no time to eat,” adding: “I lost way too much weight.” The social media sensation, last year gaining 15 million Instagram followers in just three weeks, continued: “All the clothes that used to fit me when I first came (to America) are too loose now.”

Remarks on Jung’s Insta had seen immense concern manifesting, with one fan writing: “I don’t want to come off negative at all, just want to say that seeing you in the black dress makes me a bit worried. I know how it is for models to obtain a certain weight standard, but please make sure you are eating well.” The galleries had shown Jung in a series of Louis Vuitton looks including her plunging LACMA gown, plus itty-bitty and monogrammed LV crop tops. HoYeon is also a spokesperson for American fashion giant Calvin Klein. While acting is now the star’s main gig, she’s revealed high hopes for continuing to juggle both modeling and a Hollywood career.

Speaking to Teen Vogue in 2021, the Seoul native said: “I hope I can do both but, physically, I think if I got a role or a new series came in, then I’d have to focus on the shooting. At that moment, I don’t think I can do modeling at the same time as acting, but, if I don’t have a time [where I need to be shooting], then I could do modeling. I could manage. I’m a very flexible person!” Speaking of “Squid Game,” the most-watched Netflix series of 2021, Jung added:

“When my modeling agency contract ended and I moved to an acting agency, this was the first script that I got for my first open audition, and I got the role after auditioning for the part.”

HoYeon is followed by 23.7 million on Instagram, also boasting quite the celebrity following. Her account is kept tabs on by stars including actresses Dove Cameron and Bella Thorne, singers Demi Lovato and Dua Lipa, plus cookbook queen Chrissy Teigen and model Bella Hadid.
