Sophie: The Influential Groundbreaking Scottish Pop Artist Dies at 34

The Scottish pop singer died of an accidental fall on Saturday

Sophie, the Scottish LBGTQ plus iconic hyper-pop singer and producer of electronic music, sadly passed away on January 30 at only 34-years-old of an accidental fall in Athens, Greece.

According to the New York Times, her music was of “distilled speed,” catchiness, melody, and clarity. Her last album was in 2018 entitled, “Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides.” It was nominated for a Grammy for best dance/electronic album.

TMZ reports that Sophie climbed up to watch the full moon and tragically, had accidentally slipped and fell.
