In the video, Wilson says, “Hi, everybody, I had an explosion in my face. I’m okay, I’m gonna be okay, but I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms. I’m singed everywhere. Eyebrows are singed. My mouth is blistered. My arms pretty bad. Both of my arms.”

His partner, Kelly Osbourne, shared her own hospital video on her Instagram stories, saying, “This is why you don’t fuck with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire and exploded everything.”

Wilson and Osbourne share a baby boy named Sidney. The baby appears in Kelly’s video and can be heard off camera in Wilson’s video. At one point Wilson is asked when the last time he had a tetanus shot, and he says it was when he cut his finger off, as he and Osbourne determine that it was around this past Christmas or New Year.

Slipknot released their own statement that reads, “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”

Osbourne later shared a video of their son playing with toys on the hospital floor on one side of her and Wilson in his hospital bed with his arms fully bandaged on the other side of her.

Wilson also posted a second video reporting that he was being transported to a burn unit, where he was set to undergo further treatment, and have his head shaved. He also repeatedly assured fans that he would be okay.

In the comments of Wilson’s first video, a number of his musical peers reached out to him. Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch wrote, “Love you @sidthe3rd what the hell exploded, be careful, crazy man! So glad you’re OK.”

System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian remarked, “Damn brother, that looks painful. Hope you heal quickly. We’re out here sending you positive thoughts.”
