Back in 2015, Shannen Doherty revealed she had been suffering from breast cancer. She recently shared a video describing that it has now spread to her brain and that she will be undergoing treatment.
Doherty is a 52-year-old actress who is best known for her roles on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed.
On Monday, she posted an Instagram video which depicted “the process of getting fitted for the mask you wear during radiation to your brain. The next day she posted a video of her receiving the initial round of treatment last January.
“My fear is obvious,” Doherty expressed. “I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life.”
“I am fortunate as I have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing techs at Cedars-Sinai,” she wrote on Instagram. “But that fear. The turmoil. The timing of it all. This is what cancer can look like.”
Doherty has continued to work despite her diagnosis and has received support from the acting community.
