Scott Ruffalo ‘The Unsolved Tragic Murder Mystery’

Scott Ruffalo

Scott Ruffalo was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on 1 February 1969 to Marie Rose, a hairdresser and stylist and Frank Lawrence Ruffalo, who worked as a construction painter. The duo also had two daughters and another son, Scott sisters, Tania and Nicole, and his brother Mark. Scott Ruffalo, was married to Luzelena Ruffalo.

The Brother duo made it to the fashion and industry

In his late teens, Scott moved to Los Angeles with his older brother Mark, where they scraped by in a $600-a-month apartment by MacArthur Park. Both the brothers chose to pursue their career, where Mark auditioned for roles and Scott just getting started as a hairdresser. Scott used to work as a professional hairdresser at the Giuseppe Franco Salon.

Scott held a verified license in cosmetology since 1991. Later on, being a professional hairstylist in some salons in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, he started his own salon in Los Angeles. In 2001, Scott set up his own firm, named Ruff Inc. that took in his productive income as a professional hairstylist.

Scott became popular in the cosmetology industry but he was famous as a younger brother of Mark Ruffalo, who is a famous producer and an American actor. Mark is best and famously known for his role in the thriller and crime film, ‘Now You See Me.’ No matter the situation or circumstances, Scott and his brother Mark always knew they had to make the best of every situation, no matter how worse the situation got like with the rest of their family, the brother duo still had each other’s back.

In an interview, Mark recalled the old times with his brother Scott, on how he and Scott got by early on into their careers.

“He’d make a f–king giant bowl of tuna pasta, and we’d eat off that all week long,” he said. “The best of times, the worst of times.

Sudden Tragic Incident

On Monday, 1 December, 2008 an unexpected tragedy fell upon the Ruffalo family. It seemed like Scott shot himself to death at his home in Beverly Hills but after the investigations started the death of Scott was considered a murder. After being shot in the head, Mark immediately took Scott to nearby hospital at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to Beverly Hills Police Sgt. Renato Moreno.

Right after the incident was reported, the investigation took place which led the police to two “persons of interest,” both of whom were at Ruffalo’s residence at the time of the incident. Two people wanted for questioning about the shooting submitted an investigation to police earlier, a wealthy Saudi businesswoman and proclaimed ‘Saudi Princess,’ Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26 and her boyfriend, Brian B. Scofield, 29. They both turned themselves to the police

The detectives knew that the Saudi Princess had been at Ruffalo’s because his home surveillance caught her at his condo. According to the Associated Press Adham was arrested on an attempted murder warrant in connection with the shooting of Ruffalo, whereas Scofield was being held on an infringement traffic warrant for past violations. His role, if any, in the case wasn’t immediately clear.

Both of them were taken by the police into the custody for investigation but they were released the next day on Tuesday because no evidence was found against them and the case came to halt.

According to the witness, Scott died after playing Russian roulette

Beverly Hills Police Department eventually proclaimed the death of Ruffalo as a result of suicide by Russian roulette because the gun used in the shooting incident belonged to Ruffalo and that he was a known cocaine user with a history of using and playing with firearms in front of many witnesses.

During an investigation, Adham told the police that,

‘I had to go to Scott’s house to get the keys to my car which Scott had borrowed from me a few days ago. When I arrived, I saw Scott shooting himself while playing Russian Roulette Game and my boyfriend called 911 to immediately tell the police about the incident.’

An interesting twist in the case

When the police later backtracked after the coroner’s report it was found out showing that the angle of the entry of the bullet demonstrated that he could not possibly have shot himself to death because the entry angle of the bullet could not have been self-inflicted, as it was to the back of his head. Consequently, they relabeled Scott’s death as a homicide.

Scott died at 39 after a week on 9 December, from a seemingly unprovoked gunshot wound to the head Monday night. Scott was shot inside his Beverly Hills apartment a week before under mysterious circumstances.

Scott’s death still remain an unsolved mystery

The case of Scott’s death remained unsolved till now after the death of the witness. Four years later, Adham passed away due to the overdose of drugs in 2012. She was one of the witnesses of the case. As there have been no new leads in the case of Scott’s death, the case still remains as a mystery.

Considering that the case of Scott’s death largely depended on Adham’s account, it doesn’t seem like there will be answers anytime soon. The Ruffalo family accepted the fact that Scott’s death may never get fully resolved, so the family decided to carry on by keeping in mind the best memories of the brother, husband and son Scott.
