Repair Culture

Trash Material Competition

There is a new wave of repair culture. A chance to launch experimentation and exploration into the potential of embracing repair culture in artistic practice. It is related to the boundaries of material use, repairing back together products and bonding disregarded items in order to create art or design.

The mounding waste piles can be ‘reuse and repair’ into culture via an art piece.. There have been some remarkable artwork produced and this is an art call to explore its potential within artistic practice. Artists will be invited to interview and a publication will run the project later this year.

Let’s glue smashed up plates together, meld an old print into new designs, or mess up trash together to create a sculpture, A Repair Culture gets exposure via the platform.

Just sign up for the project ‘Repair Culture’ below and you will be in touch for further interviews or further collaboration opportunities.

This project will be running for 12 months and submissions are accepted throughout the year via email – arts@murze.org using this format in the subject box (name:repair culture)
