Prospect Art at One Work and New Work

Prospect Art invites visual artists worldwide to submit for consideration in two programs, ONE WORK and NEW WORK. The NEW WORK program is a mini-grant initiative, meant to support production of new artwork, to support professional artists at all career stages who are not currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs, no matter of location. This program runs twice a year, and it is offering a $1000 mini-grant to individual artists or artist collectives, intended to fund a chosen art project that can be completed within the next 12 months. The artwork are meant to explore innovative ideas and push the boundaries of traditional art practices. The project includes an interest in self-contained, conceptual-based art work. The ONE WORK publishing program is dedicated to a critical dialogue of one specific completed work. We are interested in highlighting various conceptual-based art that normally covers contemporary issues in a new and exciting way, that represents the diverse voices. All work must be completed in the past 2 years. As a reference point, here’s a list of established contemporary artists and specific works that we are interested in. The artists covered in those two projects in past included: Pierre Huyghe – The Third Memory, Sophie Calle – Here Lie the Secrets of the Visitors of Green-Wood Cemetery, John Gerrard – Western Flag NFT, Gary Simmons – Fade to Black, Boyle Family – World Series, Shirin Neshat – Turbulent, Ragnar Kjartansson – The Visitors, Bunny Rogers – Kind Kingdom, Adrian Villar Rojas – Pedazos De Las Personas Que Amamos, Cao Fei – RMB City, Bas Jan Ader – In Search of the Miraculous, Hito Steyerl – Factory of the Sun, Arthur Jafa – Love is the Message, The Message is Death, Samson Young – Muted Situations #22, Vajiko Chachkhiani – Living Dog Among Lions, Roberto Cuoghi – Imitation of Christ, Lisa Reihana – In Pursuit of Venus (infected),  Kader Attia – Narrative Vibrations, Michel Blazy – We Were The Robots, Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz – Moving Backwards, Candice Lin & Patrick Staff – Hormonal Fog, Christina Agapakis, Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg, and Sissel Tolaas – Resurrecting the Sublime, Charles Gaines – Manifestos.

The ONE WORK art program is exclusively open to visual artists. There is a $10 administrative fee to apply via to be paid via PayPal. Description of the work should be 250 words or less, also include images of proposed project if there is so, as a part of work in progress too, also include examples of past work and/or video links for time-based samples or upload 3-5 samples, artist statement 200 words or less, 1-2 page resume in PDF’s, also entire collective resumes if there is a collective submitting.
