Pras Disses Lauryn Hill on New Song After Canceled Fugees Tour

All is not well within Fugees after Ms. Lauryn Hill abruptly canceled the US leg of their reunion tour: Pras has dropped a diss track titled “Bar Mitzfa” putting all the blame on Hill. Stream it below.

Obtained exclusively by TMZ, the song features Pras rapping: “Don’t blame me, blame her, she made the mess/ Not another fucking penny is what I told ‘Clef.”

Pras continued the onslaught on his Instagram Story, writing: “No one will remember: click bait beefs, how many Gucci bags you owned, bogus excuses. People will remember: How you made them feel, if you kept your word, if they could count on you, if you come on Time!!!”

Shortly after Hill canceled the co-headlining tour at the last minute, she put out a statement blaming the media’s “sensationalism and clickbait headlines” for low ticket sales. “The trust and faith I have in my intentions and my commitment to my art seem to have been overshadowed by this unfortunate portrayal,” she added.

A few days later, Pras pushed back against Hill’s narrative and teased the diss song by telling TMZ that he “saved her reputation for 20 years by not telling my side of the story but oops… cat’s out the bag.”

Elsewhere on the track, Pras references his political conspiracy case by spitting, “The DOJ was a walk in the park compared to this.” The rapper was found guilty of a scheme to help the Chinese government gain access to US officials last year, but demanded a retrial after alleging his lawyer used AI to write his closing argument.

For the time being, the European leg of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour” is slated to kick off as scheduled in October. Get tickets here.
