Plies is convinced that Elon Musk had one very specific thing in mind when he purchased Twitter (now known as X), a plan he believes we may see come to fruition during this election cycle.
The always outspoken rapper took to that very platform on Tuesday (August 6) to share what he believes will happen to X now that Elon Musk has reportedly endorsed Donald Trump.
“I Can See Elon Shutting Down Twitter When Trump Continues To Fall Behind In The Polls,” Plies wrote. “He Brought Twitter To Influence The Election. An Before He Accepts A Trump Loss I Believe He’ll Shut It All Down!!!!!”
According to AllHipHop, the tweet came amid an announcement by Trump that Musk will be interviewing him on X on Monday (August 12). The former president and Republican presidential nominee expounded on the upcoming conversation during a press conference on Thursday (August 8).
“Elon called me, as you know he endorsed me full throated, a great endorsement,” Trump told reporters. “I respect Elon a lot, he respects me. He told me he is going to have a show Monday, I think Monday night, and he invited me so it’ll be very interesting. A lot of people are talking about it. I look forward to it.”
As of this writing, details about what time and where the interview will take place have yet to be revealed.

Plies has been a staunch critic of Donald Trump for most of the former reality star’s political career.
Last month, the Florida rapper continued to take aim at the controversial figure, poking fun at Trump for appearing to fall asleep at the Republican National Convention; despite Kodak Black recently warning him about “slandering” the former president.
Plies shared a video of the controversial presidential candidate closing his eyes for several moments and seemingly struggling to keep them open at the political event in Milwaukee.
Adding his typically colorful commentary to the clip, Plies said: “He can’t stay awake! That boy cannot stay awake. He sleep! They talking, he sleep.”
He added in his caption: “[crying face emojis] He Can’t Stay Awake At The RNC!! He Sleep Bih!!!!! [crying face emojis] The Media Give Dude All The Passes!!!”
Earlier that week, Plies was called out by Kodak Black for criticizing Donald Trump after the 78-year-old survived an assassination attempt.
Kodak, who is a longstanding supporter of Trump’s, took aim at his “Real Hitta” collaborator for being unsympathetic after the Republican was nearly killed by a gunman at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last weekend.
After the incident, Plies launched into a tirade on X (formerly Twitter) in which he suggested that the shooting was staged and slammed Trump for “play[ing] the victim” after “push[ing] hate for the last eight years.”
