Nicolas Cage wrapped up the film, 10 Double Zero a week ago in Los Angeles and has moved on to a new film which is currently filming in the gorgeous country of Croatia entitled, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. It was also filmed in Budapest, Hungary. The filming will take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia for 15 days. It’s a comedy meta-drama directed by Tom Gormican and written by Kevin Etten. Nicolas Cage stars as a hilarious version of himself, a once-legendary highly-successful and regarded divorced actor who is a cash-strapped; trying to desperately reconnect with his ex-wife and daughter and is looking for his next gig; only to find himself being invited as a guest to a super-fan’s birthday party channeling his own legendary characters in order to save himself and his family from getting involved in a wildly dangerous situation. Tiffany Haddish portrays a government rogue agent who forces Cage to go undercover to bring down a large criminal organization. In reality, the fan (played by Pedro Pascal) is a billionaire drug kingpin who happens to be an informant for the CIA and gets cast in a Quentin Tarantino film. This true-to-life comedy is definitely worth checking out!

The film also stars Pedro Pascal as Javi, Sharon Horgan as Nic’s ex-wife, and Tiffany Haddish as Vivan, the government rogue agent.
Discussions about the film began last year. Tom Gormican wrote Nicolas a letter stating his film would be a perfect fit for Cage and not as a way to make fun of him. Gormican sent the script to Cage and he read the script and was really impressed with the screenplay. It was eventually picked up by Lionsgate and now it’s currently in production. No trailer is available yet.
We can’t wait for this film to be released next spring in March 2021! It will be awesome!
