Nicki Minaj Teases Tour Dedicated To Her Mixtape Output

Nicki Minaj is gearing up to head out on the second leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour – but she already has an idea in mind for another trek after that.

Taking to X on Monday (August 19), Minaj engaged her fans by getting their requests for songs they want to see performed on the new tour that she didn’t do on the original run.

When one Barb requested “Envy,” a cut from the Queen rapper’s 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, Minaj revealed she had a whole different plan in mind for those deep cuts.

“We’ll save that for the mixtape tour guys,” she said. “Another idea I had a while back.”

Nicki Minaj has three mixtapes under her belt, starting with 2007’s Playtime Is Over – which she dropped shortly after making her Young Money debut on Lil Wayne‘s Da Drought 3 tape. She followed it up with 2008’s Sucka Free (which produced the fan favorite “Itty Bitty Piggy”) and finished her run with 2009’s Beam Me Up Scotty before pivoting into studio albums.

In 2021, the last of those three made its way to streaming services for the first time and included three new songs – “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne, a solo record called “Fractions” and a remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth.”

As for her new tour, Minaj will be bringing fellow Young Money alum Tyga on the road with her, as well as BIA and dancehall artist Skillibeng. And new music may be coming with it as well.

“Let’s just say you won’t wanna miss it. Y’all know I’m an honest pink lady,” she wrote earlier this week. “#GagCityReloaded will be a beautiful, magical dream come true. Better than the 1st half & that wasn’t easy to do. New looks, set list changes, other secrets, ummmm new music? Lemme think about it. Thank you to the team doing this with me again. They’re simply the best.

“To the guest artists who will come out in their cities, thank you in advance; and to these 3 TALENTS (who I have so much love & respect for) for taking the G6 to #GAGCITY just for the Barbz & me. @tyga @bia @skillibeng. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!”

She concluded: “Barbz, we’ve already made history prior to LEG 2. 🎀 TOP 10 in HIPHOP TOURS OF ALL TIME already. To everyone who came out on the first leg to support: GOD BLESS YOU. I LOVE YOU. I DO. Come back.”

The trek will kick off in September in Philadelphia and hit major cities across the United States including Washington, DC, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up in her hometown of Queens in October.

The prior leg didn’t have an official L.A. stop as the New York native’s performance at Rolling Loud served as her SoCal date, so she’s making up for it this round with back-to-back nights in the City of Angels.
