Organization called ARTIT is looking for digital art under the title ‘NFTs for Good’, organized by DECENTR in collaboration with the global leader in crypto philanthropy. This is the opportunity for digital artists or traditional artists who like to digitize their work, 2D and 3D Max artists, graphic designers, illustrators, and photographers who are interested in breaking into the exciting field of NFTs. Non-fungible token (NFT) art is digital art that you can create or own. Its art medium that can include digital drawings, paintings, music, film, poetry, or books and it is an art that allows artists to sell or rent their artwork beyond the physical world. NFTs can really be anything digital, it even can be your brain downloaded and turned into an AI. No really, can a human brain be downloaded into computer? I kinda do not want to believe that. Do you? This is something that evokes a lot of the current excitement. It is something that inspires a lot of science fiction genre books or films made out there. And it is all based around using a high tech to sell digital art. Or can it be really called an art? And, would you really sell your brain out as a digital art?
Either way, this is a call for high tech artists to create a ‘base’ character design that forms the foundation of a 3,333 piece NFT collection designed around a specific theme of the artist’s choosing, within a distinguishing feature of the contest, with artists who can submit existing work that falls into the contest scope, describe of the chosen theme, and have their work promoted as part of the contest process. The part of commitment that organization offers is inclusivity and transparency in the selection process. A percentage of sales of the NFT collection, sold via OpenSea, will go to our charity partners. NFT artwork is digital art that can’t be duplicated. It’s a digital asset that the buyer owns and can sell or trade. It is a new way of selling digital art without building an extensive social network. It’s sold in NFT marketplaces, reducing self-promotion. NFT marketplace is using a crypto wallet to purchase cryptocurrency from blockchain software platforms like Ethereum or Bitcoin. In the year since NFTs exploded in popularity. Does that mean that situation has only gotten more complicated? Pictures of apes have that sold for ten millions of dollars and there are endless headlines on Internet about if this is just another million dollars hack. If this is just another corporate quick cash grab? At a very high level, most NFTs are part of so called Ethereum blockchain, though other blockchains have implemented their own version of NFTs. Ethereum is a cryptocurrency, like bitcoin or dogecoin, but its blockchain also keeps track of who is really trading with NFT. Hmm, sounds like a handsome little money making hack!
But here, with this art call, there is a $5,000 cash prize involved, the winner will receive a cash prize of $2,000 for one winning ‘base’ character design (head and shoulders), with a further $3,000 paid to the winner who create 55 unique ‘traits’ (hats, sunglasses, etc).
