New Singles From Travis Scott, Kodak Black, A$AP Ferg & More

HIPHOPDX –

As Kendrick Lamar‘s “Not Like Us” and Tommy Richman‘s “Million Dollar Baby” continue to hold it down for Hip Hop on the Hot 100 top 10, this week sees a flood of new songs from familiar faces.

Travis Scott digs into his vaults and treats fans to a clutch of unreleased tracks from his Days Before Rodeo era, Kodak Black remains consistent in the booth despite the persistent chaos surrounding his personal life, and A$AP Ferg throws an alley oop to an A-list athlete making their rapping debut.

Elsewhere, Detroit is well represented thanks to new offerings from Babyface Ray, Tee Grizzley and 42 Dugg, Tory Lanez continues to feed the streets from behind bars and Doechii fuels excitement for her upcoming mixtape.

Check out the full list of new singles below and peep this week’s best new albums here.

Travis Scott feat. Young Thug — “Yeah Yeah”

Produced By: Wheezy, TM88 & Southside

Travis Scott’s 2014 fan-favorite mixtape Days Before Rodeo is finally on streaming, but fans who purchase the digital deluxe edition from La Flame’s website get this previously unreleased collaboration with Young Thug, plus four more bonus songs: “Mo City Flexologist,” “Too Many Chances,” “Serenade” and “Whole Lots Changed.”

Kodak Black — “Sharp Vibes”

Produced By: L Beats

With his fifth child on the way, Kodak Black ramps up his album rollout with this introspective new single that finds the Florida native reflecting on his baby mama drama and drug-dealing past.

Jaylen Brown feat. A$AP Ferg “Just Do It”

Produced By: Enkore

After making his own return to music in recent months, A$AP Ferg plays wingman as he helps NBA champion Jaylen Brown become the latest hooper to crossover into Hip Hop. The laidback, Larry June-esque joint references Brown’s recent Olympics snub and beef with Nike (as the title suggests).

Tory Lanez — “Rodeo Drive” + “580 Benz” feat. HollywoodSos

Produced By: C Sick & Tory Lanez | Neil Muglurmath, Play Picasso, Sergio R, Tory Lanez & YoungDaveBangin

While we await an update on his appeal over his 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez continues to feed his loyal fanbase from behind bars with another double dose of Prison Tapes tracks.

Babyface Ray feat. BossMan Dlow — “Count Money”

Produced By: Treeze

Two of the game’s hottest young talents team up to stack their paper and reflect on their journeys from the streets to stardom. Expect this to appear on Babyface Ray’s new album The Kid That Did, out September 13.

Tee Grizzley feat. 42 Dugg — “Detroit”

Produced By: Helluva

After linking up with Boldy James on “Cecil Fielder” earlier this month, Tee Grizzley keeps it in the Motor City as he connects with 42 Dugg on this hard-hitting ode to their hometown.

Doechii — “Boom Bap”

Produced By: Camper & DJ Miss Milan

TDE’s rising star gets on her (not-so-serious) “rappity rap” shit and reminds her doubters she deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as her female rap peers. Doechii’s new project Alligator Bites Never Heal drops next Friday (August 30).
