Disney+ debuted on November 12, 2019. The service currently has more than 60 million active subscribers. Due to Covid-19 and the shutting down of movie theatres, Disney did not have a chance to bring its live-action version of Mulan to the box office.
The company decided to stream it for subscribers that paid $29.99 for premium access, which ended up being close to half of its user base. The film had a $200 million budget and they were expecting it to be a blockbuster hit, but it did well on Disney+.
Each month Disney+ adds news films and television shows to their library. There are several projects that will be available before the end of October. “Virus Hunters” is available to Disney+ subscribers as they also have access to National Geographic content.
The show is inspired by healthcare organizations around the world who are trying to contain Covid-19. The plot follows an epidemiologist who is looking to discover methods of preventing the outbreak of future infectious diseases. The show is in its second season and could not be timelier.

There are now more than 600 pieces of Simpsons content on the streaming service. “The Simpson” is the longest running scripted weekly television program in history. The characters still are humorous after all these years. Disney+ is lucky to have such a loved franchise to stream as a part of their lineup.

“Mr. Holland’s Opus” is a great film about a struggling musician who takes a job as a high music teacher in order to pay the bills, but he can’t help falling into his own world of music in the process. It is a heart-warming, family-friendly film that is perfect for the Disney+ library.
“Weird but True” specifically “Episode 308 – Our Solar System” is about creating the aesthetic of what it would be like to live in outer space. It is a must watch for the scientific or imaginative viewers. “One Day at Disney Short” specifically “Episode 144 ‘Pablo Tufino: Ride Show Technician’” is a great way to see Disney’s Animal Kingdom on film.
“Zenimation Extended Edition” is a unique audio/visual experience that takes viewers on a journey through different worlds with captivating music and animation.
