Netflix Receives Several Golden Globe Nominations in 2023

The emergence of streaming services for film and television caused a shift in media culture. This is a 21st-century phenomena, as network television and theatrically released films were the exclusive content evaluated by judges from all of the award shows. Now there are new categories to celebrate significant projects that have made their way to streaming services.

Netflix has several nominations for categories in TV and film.

Netflix’s The Crown was nominated for Best Drama Series, Best Television Actress-Drama Series (Imelda Staunton), Best Supporting Actress – Television Series (Elizabeth Debieki) and Best Supporting Actor – Television Series (Jonathan Pryee).

The streaming service also did well with film projects.
