Earlier this week, the couple was spotted at a nightclub where Ashanti handled emcee duties on the mic and the DJ played “his favorite song,” which happened to be 2008’s “The Way That I Love You.” The breakup anthem found the former Murder Inc. singer detailing her split from Nelly in the 2000s as the lead single from her fourth album The Declaration’s. “I’m gonna do it one time, just one time,” the DJ implored as Ashanti laughed, before singing along to the lyrics. Between 2003 and 2013, Nelly and Ashanti dated on and off. Rumors of a reconciliation erupted earlier this year when they joined each other on stage for a steamy rendition of their “Body On Me” collaboration.
