After an 18-week shutdown due to COVID-19, The National Gallery of Art in Washing D.C. plans to re-open some of its indoor exhibits. However, they will have some new safety guidelines for visitors including a requirement to wear masks and limit availability to 500 observers per day. The gallery plans to re-open the rest of the facility after the mayor announces phase 3 of the re-opening process for the city.

Anyone interested in visiting can obtain up to five free, timed passes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following link: nga.gov/tickets

While it is good news that the gallery is re-opening, about 37 states in the US are considering closing down their economies again due to COVID-19. The National Gallery of Art is hopeful that it can remain open in the nation’s capital and not be subject to a future closing.
