Swing Duke – Housie Moody
Hands down one of my favorite tracks of the past couple of years. The piano house stabs, funky and soulful components, together creating an addicting house jam. The kind of song that just puts you in a better mood whenever you hit the play button. This is one guy I’ll be following the career of very closely.
SpheraQ – Between Us
This is one of my favorite new discoveries of an artist. SpheraQ is a House creator out of South Africa making some incredible tunes. The percussion is so clean, resonant and swingy. The melodies and sounds are like an orchestra with so many different things going on all crescendoing together. He has a lot more songs to discover and many features as well, highly recommended.
Luca Olivotto – Solid Soul
Another newer discovery for me. Luca Olivotto brings the old school House vibes to his new album “That Groove”. I fell in love with his jazzy and soulful sounds the past year or two, so buying his new album was a no-brainer. Sold Soul is my favorite cut off of it. For another gem from him check out “Blue” from his EP “Kind of Lovin’.”.
Shabi – Groovin’ Dat Jazz
Off of Scruscru’s record label Scruniversal, my next gem is self-explanatory with its name. Meticulously produced sample-based house that is impossible not to love. Shabi comes at you with a danceable yet headphone cracking banger. I can never get enough Jazz samples whether it’s in House or Hip-Hop.
Mono/Poly – Ever Since My Birth
I’ve been a huge fan of Mono/Poly for a very long time. His beats are crunchy and full of life. This track comes from his newest album and it’s my favorite song off of it. The chords bring you into a trance and then when the beat comes in you are trapped in it. Good luck getting out. The interesting part about this album is there are a lot more vocals, you as the listener can decide if they are for you or not. He’s not shy of doing exactly what he wants with his music which is commendable.
MYLAMINE – Floret
Here’s my brand new single! This track was a lot of fun to work on and develop, I hope it hits the scene at a perfect time just when summer is getting hot but you see autumn in the distance. I think it has a great groove to it but it pulls you in deeper as well.
