The fashion supremo Edward Enninful is branching out into the art world by partnering with the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris on a series of prints inspired by the art of Claude Monet.
Images of Enninful’s favourite paintings by the famed French Impressionist have been remastered using “Hi-Rnd” technology used by the printmaking company Lito. “Works by one of my favourite artists have been remastered as prints on paper in an incredible testament to the old informing the new,” the ex-editor in chief of British Vogue wrote on Instagram.
Enninful’s eight Monet prints can be bought for £3,737 on the Lito website, while his remastering of the artist’s Soleil Couchant I image is available for £850. “Art can now belong to everyone,” Enninful declares. How very democratic.
