Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, & More Join Spin-off Series The Madison

Michelle Pfeiffer (The First Lady), Kurt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters), and Patrick J. Adams (Suits) have signed on to star in Taylor Sheridan’s newest Yellowstone spin-off series, tentatively titled The Madison. Further details about their characters remained under wraps as casting for the show’s supporting roles remains underway.

What is The Madison about?

The Madison (formerly titled as 2024) will reportedly center around a wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family, who leave New York City to go to Montana, after her husband and brother-in-law tragically died in a plane crash.

This marks Paramount’s latest Yellowstone spin-off, after the Tim McGraw-led prequel 1883 and Harrison Ford-led prequel 1923. Before Pfeiffer, Russell, and Adams’ casting, Matthew McConaughey was previously attached to lead the project. Production on the spin-off is expected to begin sometime this month in Montana, New York, and Texas. It’s expected to make its debut in 2025.

Yellowstone was created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The series currently stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly. Its fifth and final season will return on November 5 for its mid-season premiere.
