Mauser EcoHouse Artist Residency

Energy prices are steadily increasing year by year, and with a growing population, the demand and costs for energy are only to be heavily increased. Energy-efficient systems will noticeably offer more freedom for artists.

Most standard-quality products contain harmful substances to some degree in the materials they are made from used during the manufacturing process. One of the biggest benefits of eco-materials is that they are free from these harmful chemicals, finishes, and potential environmental pollutants. This makes them safer in creating a much healthier working environment.

After years of talking and talking, the art world appears to now be walking the walk when it comes to improving its green credentials and potentials to address society’s need to face the climate crisis, while the arts sector is finally examining its contribution to it.

The environment is very high on the artist’s agenda because from a practical perspective, it saves money to be efficient, with which is the responsibility of principle to be as environmentally friendly as possible. How can you be carbon-neutral in an environment that is urgent and ephemeral in nature?” Terms such as eco-friendlyenvironmentally safe, and green have no generally recognized meaning and really are marketing language but not just so. There is a space for artists in Costa Rica’s ecohouse artists residency.

Costa Rica is a destination full of activities and attractions, for the total enjoyment of artists, creating an ideal blend of imaginative ecological buildings and natural scenery so as well as art. Mauser EcoHouse Artist Residency offers artists a beautiful, tranquil, and inspirational space to work on individual art projects. Artists are encouraged to pursue their personal, creative objectives. The program focuses on furnishing artists with nice accommodations, a creative workspace, and serene surroundings. Individual and group art projects are welcome. At the Mauser EcoHouse artists can expect 1.5 acres of vast land. The property contains numerous indigenous fruit trees, edible plants, herbs, and a working greenhouse. Artist’s stay will include a tour of the property’s sustainable features, including medicinal and tropical plants, in order to welcome and respect artists of all cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles. The residency wants mixed media artists and installation artists, writers, photographers, jewelry designers, musicians, dancers, editors, painters, and sculptors to apply. All artists can concentrate on other fields to apply on other projects besides their own, as acceptance into the program.
