Marvel Studios has released new visuals of the upcoming film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The company decided to launch the new trailer on Simu Liu’s birthday, who plays the main character in the film.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings details the story of a martial artist named Shang-Chi, who had been training to be an assassin since an early age. The plot centers on him trying to leave his violent past behind him in pursuit of a more peaceful life in San Francisco. Shang-Chi will be Marvel’s first film to have an Asian lead and fully Asian production team.
The movie was originally scheduled for release in February 2021; however, the release date needed to be pushed back several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now set to debut on September 3, 2021, hopefully in movie theaters but the date appears to be firm, if it cannot be shown in the theaters it is likely that it will stream on Disney+.
