Ma$e has revealed how he went on a huge physical transformation and managed to lose 70 pounds.

The Harlem rapper unveiled a leaner, more youthful-looking appearance on Monday (September 2) in the season five premiere of his and Cam’ron’s sports talk show It Is What It Is.

Killa Cam was quick to comment on his co-host’s new look and jokingly implying that his weight loss was the result of taking Ozempic, asking him: “You took the needle?”

Ma$e then explained that his slimmed-down frame was just the result of hard work and dieting.

“I signed up with this coach named Ricky Moore that’s a professional bodybuilder, and he just put me on the alkaline diet so I’m only eating fruit, vegetables and water for now,” he said.

Cam then applauded the former Bad Boy rapper’s health journey, saying: “I like that. You look great, man. You look like you back in high school. I’m happy to see it.”

The episode was also notable for Ma$e’s viral freestyle over Common‘s “The Corner,” which kicked off the new season of the popular show.

Showcasing his jiggy flow over the Kanye West-produced beat, Murda rapped: “We can go body for body, hottie for hottie, thottie for thottie / Robbery for robbery, ‘Rari for ‘Rari, to homi for homi / Lobby for lobby, n-gga, choppy for choppy / We can go switch for switch and go lami for lami.”

He continued: “I’m so bossy call me Hugo, $80K on the Hublot / Cops pulled me out the two-door, I’m high as Pluto / Mamis love me like Menudo / Already got it, you know / I get a bag of blue notes to do their party, two shows.”

The Harlem World hitmaker received a lot of praise from his peers, with Cam’ron first in line, writing on Instagram: “Nahhhhh!!! MURDER HOME!!! [steaming face emojis] @rsvpmase Now the price just went up[.] Season 5 on right now with @michaelirvin88[.] The greatest show on earth has returned!! Happy fucking Labor Day.”
