Machine Gun Kelly Is ‘Completely’ Sober

Machine Gun Kelly quietly checked himself into rehab in 2023, revealing he’s now officially one year sober because of it.

The Cleveland hitmaker was a guest on the latest episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, published on Monday (August 5). During the nearly two-hour convo, Kells revealed he hasn’t touched alcohol in 12 months.

“I’m completely sober from everything. I don’t drink anymore. I haven’t drank since last August,” he said.

Following his European tour last year, MGK made the decision to get help – and he’s really seeing the benefits.

“I didn’t tell anybody outside of the [people] closest to me. That was my first time I ever went to rehab,” he said. “I’m really happy when I’m clear and me and my daughter are having our conversations and I’m coming from a place of being centered and holding space for what a child needs from their parent. Both of my feet are on the ground and I’m unstoppable.”

He added: “I’m just happy that I’m able to start to be comfortable enough to show people who I am because I kind of depended on my art to do that.”

In addition to alcohol, MGK said he also used to “abuse” weed, used hydrocodone and Percocet and “loved snorting Vyvans.”

He also revealed that rehab helped him in other ways as well.

In more positive news for Machine Gun Kelly, he recently squashed his beef with Millyz following a tense confrontation.

In late May, a video surfaced of the two rappers in the same venue in the Ohio city. After being made aware of Kelly’s presence and hearing somebody shout, “Oh shit! Fuck MGK!,” the Massachusetts rapper could be seen making his way backstage to seemingly confront his rival.

Following some tussling between the pair’s respective entourages, MGK and Millyz come face to face as it seemed like things were about to go left. However, the two rappers then stepped away for a private chat, before emerging later on and dapping each other up.

“My boy. Respect,” Millyz can be heard saying to MGK before the two went their separate ways.
