KANYE is a rap genius and business genius

It amazes me that Kim Kardashian and Kanye can cause so much of a media storm.

The Kardashian-West brood got back together yesterday if only for another night, to support Kanye at his listening party for his much-anticipated 10th solo studio album DondaKim Kardashian brought their kids North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, as well as her sister Khloé, to the Apple Music Livestream event at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It seems the convergence of his family and his first concert in quite a while gave Kanye all the feels, as he had some emotional moments.

While performing the track “Love Unconditionally” Kanye started crying as he rapped the lyrics about “losing my family.” Between his mother’s tragic death in 2007 from complications after plastic surgery procedures and Kim officially filing for divorce in February, the rapper has experienced losing his family in more ways than one. Even though Kanye was wearing a full face mask, his grief was obvious.

It’s sad when a marriage ends, especially when there are kids involved, but we applaud Kim for attending Kanye’s big event with their offspring. Importance of a good co-parenting relationship is key to raising healthy, happy kids, as well as for the emotional well-being of the parents. A lot of celebrity exes who co-parent are surprisingly good role models in this respect!

Making the best of divorce is what mature people do.

Kim and Kanye definitely seem to be figuring out how to handle their uncoupled life as a family. Last weekend, the celebrity duo took their kids on a family vacation to San Francisco. The trip included a private art excursion to the Asian Art Museum after sharing breakfast together, according to Page Six. “They are getting along great, and it was their public outing together as a family, reconfirming that they are in lockstep when it comes to co-parenting and putting their kids first,” a source revealed to the New York publication.

Family first

He and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, maybe getting a divorce, but she still supports him.
The reality star/entrepreneur was spotted in the house with their kids (they share four).
“We have an amazing co-parenting relationship and I respect him so much,” she said. “That was my friend first, first and foremost for a long time so I can’t see that going away. I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan.”
Her sister Khloe Kardashian was reportedly also there.

He is an artist so the music is his muse

West was silent, just playing his tracks.
Given how much he’s known for both his high energy shows and being outspoken, it was a totally different vibe for him.
The album is named for his beloved mother, Donda West, who died at the age of 58 in 2007 following cosmetic surgery.

West with Jay-Z on new song

The pair of superstar rappers go back since the 1990s when West produced for Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records.
They collaborated on the 2011 album Watch the Throne album and toured together.
But in recent years things appeared to be tense between the two.
Jay-Z talked about the strain in 2018 while talking to David Letterman on his Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” in which Jay-Z said West was his “brother.”
“We’re beyond friends. Like literally, my little brother is Kanye,” Jay-Z said. “And like your little brother, things happen sometimes.”
The following month West told radio host Charlamagne The God he had feelings about Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, not appearing at his wedding to Kardashian.
“I was hurt about them not coming to the wedding,” West said. “I understand they were going through some things, but if it’s family, you’re not going to miss a wedding.”
On Thursday night Jay-Z could be heard rapping, “This might be the return of the Throne. Hova and Yeezus, like Moses and Jesus.”
Donda is expected to be released Friday.

Kanye West is now worth a staggering $6.6 billion, as revealed in a new Bloomberg report and confirmed by a rep to Billboard.

According to a private document obtained by the outlet, Yeezy – West’s sneaker and apparel business with both Adidas and Gap – has been valued at between $3.2 billion to $4.7 billion by the Swiss investment bank UBS Group. As much as $970 million of that total is tied to West’s new clothing line for Gap (under the Yeezy Gap label) that the retailer has slated for release by July, part of a 10-year agreement the parties signed in June of last year.

The document further reveals that Gap, an ailing brand whose partnership with West represents a play for younger consumers, expects its Yeezy line to break $150 million in sales in its first full year in 2022 and envisions it surpassing a billion dollars in revenue within eight years, or even as soon as 2023 on the upside. West stands to profit handsomely in any event, as he retains sole ownership and creative control of the Yeezy brand and earns royalties on sales under the deal, with the rate increasing as the business grows. He’ll also receive stock warrants when the collection hits sales targets, with the highest set at $700 million, according to a securities filing.

West’s longstanding deal with Adidas has been the most lucrative part of his business endeavors to date, with Yeezy sneakers continuing to fly off of shelves; according to the documents, the brand grew 31% to nearly $1.7 billion in annual revenue last year, netting Yeezy royalties of $191 million. West has been in business with the company since 2013, with their current deal running through 2026.
