Juxtapoz Magazine – And on Day 5… Banksy Paints Two Pelicans on a Fish and Chip Shop

Remember the counting? That got debugged. Remember the Brothers Grimm metaphor. Still in play? Who knows! For Day 5 of “Banksy’s Lonodn Street Zoo” for which we have titled it, we get two stenciled pelicans atop a fish and chip shop on the corner of Pretoria Avenue and Northcote Road, Walthamstow, London. Look, what we may just have here is something fun, something about play, because we have mostly forgotten that fun and play are actually vital elements to our daily lives, adding a sense of verve and purpose to the “way things are supposed to be.” Maybe this all going back to that childhood wonder of learning about animals and playing in the streets and just overall… having fun.
