Juvenile & Turk Speak On Hot Boys Reunion

[ad_1]

Juvenile and Turk have both added new volleys in the continuing drama over whether the Hot Boys will reunite — and it turns out they’ve got similar ideas.

Members of the group (which included B.G. and Lil Wayne in addition to Turk and Juvie) have been giving conflicting indications for months about whether they’ll get back together for an album and/or a tour.

However, in separate recent statements, Turk and Juvie both seemed positive it was going to happen.

Juvenile appeared on The Breakfast Club on Monday (August 12) with Mannie Fresh. When asked about the reunion, he said, “As far as I’m concerned, it’s still happening.”

He said that tensions within the group still need to be resolved before it can occur.

“We need to sit down and have a conversation about that first,” he continued.

Turk was even more direct in a message on X.

“HotBoy’s Reunion Coming,” he wrote.

Turk’s position is notable because he was missing the last time the other three members appeared on the same stage (though notable not at the same time): at Essence Festival.

The show, which happened in July, did indeed feature three of the four members of the group onstage. However, according to local press reports, Wayne only came out once B.G. and Juvenile, joined by Mannie Fresh and Birdman, were finished.

Weezy performed for 20 minutes without his former bandmates, producer, and label boss — who then all returned, sans Juvenile, for a final song after Wayne left the stage.

During Wayne’s set, the Cash Money logos onscreen were replaced by ones for his label Young Money, and he said he was “here on behalf of Young Money fucking Records.”

Following that performance, B.G. spoke about Turk’s absence on social media.

“It’s only one n-gga that ain’t in this bitch, you heard me?” he said. “He brought that on hisself. N-gga did a bunch of ho shit, he can’t take it back. He got to fault hisself for not being here.”

Turk, for his part, said on social media prior to the show that the “business side of it” may prevent him from performing at Essence, but that he was doing “everything in my power” to make sure that he could be present.
