Jordan Fisher, Taran Killam, Keala Settle, Stephanie Styles Will Star in Encores! Urinetown
Casting has also been revealed for the City Center Encores! staging of Love Life directed by Victoria Clark.
Additional casting has been announced for two of the three productions in the upcoming season of the City Center Encores! series, which is set to include Urinetown (February 5–16, 2025), Love Life (March 26–30), and The Wild Party (April 30–May 11).
Jordan Fisher, Taran Killam, Keala Settle, and Stephanie Styles will lead the cast of season opener Urinetown in the roles of, respectively, Bobby Strong, Officer Lockstock, Penelope Pennywise, and Hope Cladwell. Further casting, by Tara Rubin Casting’s Kevin Metzger-Timson, will be announced.
With a score by Tony winners Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis and a book by Kotis, Urinetown examines
the darkest dilemmas of humanity, skewering everything from capitalism
to environmental activism. Teddy Bergman will direct with choreography by Mayte Natalio, scenic design by Clint Ramos, costume design by Sophia Choi, lighting design by Justin Townsend, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg. Encores! Music Director Mary-Mitchell Campbell will lead The Encores! Orchestra.
It was also announced that most of the cast from the 2020 production of Love Life, canceled due to the pandemic shutdown, will return in 2025. Directed by Tony winner Victoria Clark, the limited run will also feature musical direction by Rob Berman, choreography by JoAnn Hunter, scenic design by Ryan Howell, costume design by Tracy Christensen, sound design by Scott Lehrer, and casting by The Telsey Office’s Destiny Lilly.
Joining the previously reported Kate Baldwin as Susan Cooper and Nicholas Christopher as Sam Cooper will be John Edwards as Hobo, Sara Jean Ford as Miss Ideal Man, and Clarke Thorell as Mr. Cynic plus ensemble members Adam Bashian, Jonathan Christopher, Kerry Conte, Daniel Everidge, Maria Failla, Mary Illes, Andrea Jones-Sojola, Cory Lingner, John-Michael Lyles, Renni Anthony Magee, Tiffany Mann, Kristin Piro, Arianna Rosario, Heath Saunders, Daniel Schwait, Allyson Tucker, Vishal Vaidya, and Minami Yusui.

collaboration between Kurt Weill and Alan Jay Lerner
depicts over two centuries of American history through the eyes of a
family who never ages. The musical explores the intimate
aspects of a marriage through a juxtaposition of heartfelt scenes and
satirical vaudeville acts.
