Jim Jones Issues $1K Challenge To Lil Yachty Over Fashion Diss

Jim Jones has taken issue with Lil Yachty‘s recent comments about New York fashion, and now he’s put forward a way to settle things once and for all: a drip-off.

In a video with District One NY that dropped on Wednesday (August 14), the Dipset capo strongly disagreed with Yachty’s take, expressed on his A Safe Place podcast earlier in the summer, that Atlanta is the real trendsetter when it comes to fashion and that the Big Apple has been biting ATL’s style.

“What Lil Yachty was talking about the other day? This n-gga smoking coke,” Jones began. “I love Lil Yachty, but you bumped your muthafuckin head, bro.”

Then Jones came up with his contest idea.

“Let’s go and do a shop-off,” he said. “Let’s do some Harlem shit. You get a thousand, I get a thousand — let’s see who look better.

“We could do it in New York, we could do it in Atlanta. You get a stack, I get a stack, let’s see who come out flyer. And then we put it up on the ‘Gram for the people to judge.”

The rap veteran then taunted his 26-year-old antagonist while showing off an old Pelle Pelle jacket: “This Pelle right here, Lil Yachty, is older than you. And you got the nerve to tell me about getting fresh, bro?”

Check it out beginning at the 2:15 mark below.

Yachty has not yet responded to Jones’ shop-off suggestion, but the “We Fly High” rapper is not hurting for other challenges in the meantime.

Earlier this summer, he issued a “#diveChallenge” on social media that got a response from none other than Ludacris.

On July 12 the Dipset MC shared an Instagram clip in which he jumped into a residential swimming pool with his clothes still on.

Soundtracked by his song “Too Turnt” with Taylor Ricard and Dilla Illa, he captioned the post: “#diveChallenge let’s me see wht u got house pool public pool project pool th beach a river th ocean off th yacht deck show me and add th theme music to it.”

Just hours later, his peer from Atlanta followed suit with a video of his own.

Sharing the response on his IG profile, the Diplomatic Immunity hitmaker wrote: “I’m tryin to see it@ludacris want some diving smoke lol #tooturnt #Divinchallenge.”
