Jessica Simpson has fallen under fire as fans lash out on her Instagram. The 42-year-old actress and singer was all smiles as she updated her account with photos from the Fourth of July this year – the sunny snaps came from a lake and showed the blonde enjoying time with husband Eric Johnson, plus the couple’s three kids Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie Mae.
Showing off her slim figure in a red bikini as she grinned in shades, Jessica looked gorgeous, although fans were seemingly out to tear her apart. “The lake life,” the Dukes of Hazzard star had written.
Comments did praise the star and her family spirit, but one remark has shot up. Slamming the fashion mogul, one fan wrote: “Just asking please don’t think I’m bitching but why don’t you have a life jacket on your youngest? I have grown up since I was about 4 on the water and it seems a lot of people don’t. It is law and for the safety of children, i get on to my own friends for the safety of their children also.”
Users had clearly swiped, where one photo showcased the star’s sizzling figure and her plump pout. Jessica has been gathering negative remarks over her lips through much of 2022, and fans were also out to suggest she isn’t comfortable showing her body.
“What is up with Jessica Simpson mouth looks very different weird,” the leading reply reads. Meanwhile, another user wrote: “You have the most access and money for the best plastic surgeons. Sue whoever did that to your top lip.” A third chimed in, writing: “Sad to see she is clearly still so self conscious and uncomfortable in her own body that she has something strategically placed so there’s no shots of her stomach.”
Jessica has not addressed the comments. One fan did, however, seem to think that enough was enough. Defending the singer, they stated: “I’ll never understand why people come to her feed to say mean things. You all need help doing things like that. How she leads her life is not your business.”
Jessica has since updated to celebrate her 42nd birthday. Penning herself a letter, she shared: “Oh lil Mrs 42 look at you leanin’ into the moonbeams to recharge and radiate a purposeful glowing heart. I am very proud of my faith, resilience and strength over the last 4 decades. “
