Art Basel Miami Beach is one of four art fairs put on by its organization. The other locations include Hong Kong, Paris and Basel (Switzerland). The Miami shows are extremely popular and have a significant impact on communities within the city.
Art Basel presents art exhibitions from visual artists around the world. It features works by established and new artists looking to share their creations with the communities each event supports. Each festival displays a variety of mediums including both fine and performance arts on canvas and film.
The event showcases art in a lot of different formats. There are panel discussions with the artists to share their motivations and creative processes regarding the works on display. A section of the event features print magazines that showcase art despite the emergence and widespread adoption of digital content. Artists can display their works but also give presentations regarding composition if they would like to. The main event is a visual art showcase of more than 200 artists’ creations in multiple galleries.
The popular showcase is visited by thousands of observers and causes an economic impact of more than $500 million in Miami’s community.
Art Basel Miami Beach will run from December 7-December 9, 2023.
