How to Upgrade to Windows 11 in 2021

Microsoft confirmed that Windows 11 will be available for download on October 5th. It will be a free update for most computers running Windows 10 operating system. The company is slated to release new technology based on Windows 11 that can be used on day one, without the need of upgrading Windows 10.

Microsoft will be making downloads available in phases. The company is expected to soon release the type of computers that will be getting the upgrade first. They are also on the record for stating that some laptop and desktop computers may have to wait for weeks or months to receive the free upgrade. However, the latest Windows computers in retail are expected to have Windows 11 out of the box.

“Following the tremendous learnings from Windows 10, we want to make sure we’re providing you with the best possible experience,” Aaron Woodman, general manager of Windows marketing at Microsoft, explained. “We expect all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.”
