What happens in the Heartstopper Season 3 trailer?
The trailer is soundtracked with Vertigo by the artist Griff. It shows Charlie, Nick, and their friends enjoying a day at the beach, but the good vibes turn a little more complicated. Nick says he’s worried about Charlie, who seems distracted, while Tao (played by William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) encounter issues trying to take their romantic relationship to the next level. The trailer moves on to show other Heartstopper characters going through their own challenges and how they might impact the group.
It then cuts back to Charlie and Nick, with the latter realizing that Charlie is dealing with something that Nick isn’t able to help with on his own. But the Heartstopper Season 3 trailer concludes by showing that Charlie and Nick will also have brighter times ahead, with the discussion returning to questions of intimacy.
Along with Locke, Connor, Gao, and Finney, the Heartstopper cast includes Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan. New additions to the ensemble include Hayley Atwell, Jonathan Bailey, and Eddie Marsan. The trio appear in the trailer, respectively playing Nick’s aunt, a celebrity chef, and a therapist.
Heartstopper is produced by See-Saw Films. It was written and created by Alice Oseman, who also created the graphic novels on which the show is based. Oseman also executive produces alongside Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, and Euros Lyn. Andy Newbery directs the episodes.
