Intersect Aspen | Aspen Ice Garden | August 1-5, 2021

Galerie Gmurzynska is pleased to be participating in the exciting relaunch of Intersect Aspen, at the Aspen Ice Garden, from August 1 to 5. Among the masterworks to be included in the exhibition will be Joan Miro’s Tete,18 October 1979, a large oil painting by the Spanish master. The piece was included in the 2020 exhibition Miró – La Peinture au défi, at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and comes directly from the artist’s family.

As the long-time representative of the estate of Yves Klein, the gallery will also be showing the important work IKB 128, 1960. This painting, in the artist’s signature International Klein Blue, had long been in the collection of Klein’s friend Antonio Saura (to whom the work is dedicated) and is now available for sale for the first time.
