G Herbo Taps Chief Keef, Sexyy Red & More For ‘Big Swerv’ Project

G Herbo has recruited some familiar faces for his forthcoming project Big Swerv.

Details about the project were revealed in a new Rolling Stone profile on the embattled Chicago rapper, revealing guest appearances from Chief Keef, Sexyy Red and Skilla Baby.

Fellow Chi-Town native Keef guests on a song called “No Pics,” while Sexyy and Skilla feature on the tracks “Ten” and “Shoot,” respectively.

The article also mentions a collaboration with 21 Savage titled “In the A,” although it’s unclear if this will appear on Big Swerv.

It’s reported that the mixtape will drop on September 6 and mark a new direction for G Herbo compared to the heavier themes explored on previous releases like PTSD and Survivor’s Remorse.

“Not everybody has been in the streets. And not everybody had to experience violence to the levels that I’ve experienced violence. I was always vulnerable and talked about it through my music,” he said of his past projects.

“So I want to talk about having fun, I want to talk about traveling the world, and living life, and fashion, and stuff that everybody loves, that everybody can relate to.”

Herbo first announced Big Swerv earlier this month, sharing the cover art on social media along with a teaser trailer containing a snippet of a new song.

“YOU BOYS GOT FAT WHILE THE STREETS STARVED… BIG SWERV BACK[traffic lights emoji] #BIGSWERV #BIGSWERVOTW,” he captioned the post.

He has since launched a vlog series on YouTube in which he reflects on his journey from the streets of Chicago to Hip Hop stardom, and the ups and downs he’s experienced along the way.

The 28-year-old was previously considering calling the project Best Rapper Alive, as he revealed in an interview with TMZ in February.

When asked about his shiny set of new veneers, Herb said: “I said I was never gettin’ my teeth done, to be honest. And I don’t know, man. I just took a big step, and kind of changed my image for real. It do something mentally to you, too. It make you feel good about yourself, like confident.”

He added: “I got new music comin’, man. New mixtape. It’s called Best Rapper Alive. I gave it to y’all first, TMZ.”
